Instant Messenger feature for PSP Slim&Lite coming

PSP Slim&Lite, PlayStation Portable, PSP Slim and Lite, PSP, Sony, PSP Slimline, PSP-2000Tomorrow Sony Europe will drop an update in the PlayStation Store for the PSP Slim&Lite that willa llow you to use an instant messenger like AIM or MSN on your PlayStation Portable. Go!Messenger allows you to do text chatting and video chats with the Go!Cam for the PSP.

    Voice is not the same as text.

    If all they will bring is voice and video, there’s nothing new. What’s lacking is usable TEXT messaging, mostly because the PSP doesn’t have a keyboard, and a new T9 like application with personal dictionary and learning abilities would be quite essential. Even a clumsy cell phone has faster methods for entering text than the PSP.
