PSP S-video cables not coming to North America

Bad luck for us, Sony America has announced that we won’t be seeing the official S-video cables for the new PSP Slim&Lite in North America. Sony made this decision because it only supports component and composite cables in the US. Another Sony rep said that Sony wants to streamline its selection by offering the two most commonly used video standards. Component cables are the way to go when you want some decent PSP-2000 action, but if you’re really waiting for the S-video cable there’s still Play-Asia.
