In the very near future we will be seeing a PlayStation Portable handheld with rumble technology. Immersion, the company that makes the rumble technology, has been working on the VibeTonz technology that allows them to implent rumble technology in handhelds and mobile phones. Immersion’s Victor Viegas said in an interview that the effect of this small rumble motor is amazing. He thinks that it would work great in the PSP or Nintendo DS and that’s why Sony has signed a contract for this new rumble technology, Nintendo decided they would keep using their own ideas and technology.

SEGA Rally Revo one of the best PSP racegames

PSP Slim&Lite, PSP Light, PSP-2000, PSP2K, PSP Slimline, SEGA, SEGA Rally RevoTVG has a nice review of SEGA Rally Revo for PSP Slim&Lite online. They gave the SEGA game for PSP a nice 8/10 for its nice graphics and good gameplay. SEGA Rally has a very strong and unique WiFi multiplayer mode as well. The game looks great for a PSP game with detailed environments and cars and one of the best control schemes made for a PSP racegame so far. The game SEGA Rally Revo for PSP is coming out in October in the US, you can pre-order it here.

PSP Slimline, PSP S-video Cable, PSP Component AV Cable, PSP Slim&Lite D-Video CableBad luck for us, Sony America has announced that we won’t be seeing the official S-video cables for the new PSP Slim&Lite in North America. Sony made this decision because it only supports component and composite cables in the US. Another Sony rep said that Sony wants to streamline its selection by offering the two most commonly used video standards. Component cables are the way to go when you want some decent PSP-2000 action, but if you’re really waiting for the S-video cable there’s still Play-Asia.

The guy in the video above claims that the PSP UMD discs are built to self-destruct. Apparantely he has a lot of issues with UMD discs breaking out of their shell while we haven’t had any problems with Sony’s UMD discs yet. Actually, we have never heard anyone complain about the UMD casings. They’re pretty cheap though, only $4 shipment included but as long as you’re not having any problems with it, why replace the casing?

Japanese airlines affraid PSPs will crash planes

PlayStation Portable, PSP, Sony, PSP Slim and Lite, PSP Slim&Lite

Going on a trip to Japan by plane? Don’t use your new PSP Slim&Lite while flying with a Japanese airline since Japan’s transport ministry has made a law to ban all handheld systems that emit wireless signals on planes. PSPs and other handhelds produce electromagnetic waves that could interfere with the navigation systems of the aircraft. On American flights it’s forbidden to use wireless devices while the aircraft is cruising altitude but afterwards you can turn them on and game as much as you want.
