Just a minute ago we posted the first exclusive PSP Slim and Lite hands-on impressions from Kotaku and now we have more first thoughts of the new PSP Slim and Lite. First of all the PSP Slimline system ships with Firmware 3.60 preloaded on the handheld. The menu has completely changed and two of the most important changes are:
USB Charge: Now you can charge via USB instead of via A/C
UMD Cache: You can save power by reducing the frequency at which the PSP Slim and Lite reads from your UMD game or movie.
There are also some new menu settings when hooking up your Sony PlayStation Portable Slimline Lite to your television. Via the Switch Video Output you can now watch movies, games, pictures on your TV screen from your PSP Slim/Lite. Your TV has to be of the 16:9 or 4:3 type to use this option. You can also install a screensaver on your PSP and you can set the timeout from 0 to 15 minutes.
